Liner Tank Features |
Liner tanks are particularly useful as re-locatable units for short term construction or work sites. They are equally suitable for long term permanent installations, providing an economical above ground storage.
Tank liners are available in a variety of materials to suit various liquids. Food grade polyethylene liners or PVC liners are used for most potable water tank applications.
Liner tanks are fully prefabricated for easy transportation and on site erection, without the need for special tools or equipment. However, note that some of the larger special material liners require site fabrication of the liner.
Tank components are supplied in compact packages. This means savings in freightplus easy handling and storage. Packages can be broken down into individual components which can be carried into difficult sites.
Minimum site preparation is required for southern cross liner tanks. Clear and level the area, remove rocks, sticks etc and cover with 75mm of clean sand or a suitable ground sheet. The "flat panel" side sheets of the liner tank allow the use of standard PVC or galvanised fittings for pipe connections - no need for "special" corrugated fittings.
A comprehensive liner tank installation and erection manual is supplied as standard with every tank, or we can arrange Installation or supervise the installation of your liner tank.
